MA Need help with front suspension!!!

I have some coil springs, and I'm not sure what year it's to, but my brother said that all Rx7 Springs should fit. Now here's the predicament:

We put them on, and now I'm realizing that I'm missing parts to have the springs sit comfortably against the mounting block. I'm getting ready to order those parts needed, BUT I just noticed that the 79-80 years have a specific mounting block that cost about 200 bucks. The dust cover, spacer-rubber and spring seat all say 81-85. Rather than getting the mounting block, would I be able to get those parts and have it work that way? My car is a 1980 btw.

the 79-80 cars use a different upper mount/bearing/and spring seat. i think if you wanted to use all 81-85 stuff you could.

the 79-80 mount has a flat part on the hole the shock goes thru, the 81-85 uses a bearing.

actually yeah thats good thinking! going from +1 camber to -1 camber totally transforms the car, it goes from slight understeer to neutral, and tire wear should actually improve
