Need a diff fast

Anyone in the midwest area that can lend me a diff/rear end that will fit my 12A 83?

Trying to be a badass like I am, my dumb *** decided to burn out reverse, and my diff practically exploded. Engine turns fine, transmission feels fine, getting a distinct grinding around the area of the diff when I try to clutch out. Car won't roll in neutral.

I can't afford this right now, I just changed jobs, just paid 6 months of insurance, and am trying to move soon. If someone can front me the parts and maybe some help replacing it, I will happily repay you with interest. I need to fix this ASAP, otherwise I would have posted in the classifieds.

Please help

Your not the first one to have done this.

Try posting it up in the midwest section, might get a more immediate response there.

sounds like an expensive lesson. treating the 7 with a little more respect will make it last sooo much longer...ask me how i know... i've personally fried two engines and one diff..costs too much to abuse the car. so now i just drive more cautiously. if you were close to Ohio, i'd give you a free drum brake rear..

I might be willing to roadtrip over the weekend, or have a truck come pick it up. where in ohio?

Sounds like something a Honda owner would do.

I've seen civics do wheelies in reverse

You got a spare diff?

If you have enough money to drive to Ohio or Chicago why dont you have enough money to purchase a diff?

I know a guy locally in Mpls selling a LSD/disk rear for $100.

Mine is too, name your price... Chicago is a 6 hour drive for me. Otherwise PM me a residence/business address I could send a truck to pick it up from.
