Need Dellorto info
Looking for help setting up my Dell.
I currently have an upgraded exhaust and will be upgrading my fuel delivery system. I have two Dellorto carbs (DHLA 40 & 48)and both a uim and lim for my 12a.
My first question is, which carb is better suited for my setup, the 40 or the 48 and why?
Second, does anyone have the spec's on jetting of the original Racing Beat setup? Including pictures of the emulsion tubes (with the extra holes)?
Any help would be appreciated.

Go to www.gruntled.com/Dellorto for info on the original setups and also scans of
the installation sheets that came with it.
Use the 48 for two reasons. One, the 48 was the only one RB sold and modified, so if
your 48 was originally a RB prepped carb then your one step ahead. Two, the 48
can be used on stock ports, SP and even BP by just changing main jets and
the venturis. For a stock port the venturies are I think 38 mm but don't quote me on
that I always forget the details there.
There was a long running thread about th emulsion tubes as deleivered by RB and
I think the result was there didn't seem to be any modification done. It appears to
have been a Dellorto urban myth. We all showed pics of our tubes and there didn't
seem to be any extra holes. I'll see if I can find the thread and post it.
Found it. This is the thread where we were discussing etube differences.
