Name that liquid! coming out of the oil breather...
Just got my weber dcd RE setup installed on my 85 GSL. Finally got it to run but there is something that comes out of the oil filler tube breather line. It's kinda brown, smells and feels like gasoline. Everything is fine when it's first stated but if I rev, it spews or when the motor comes up to temperature, I can see a vapor coming out of the hose. If I keep reving it when it's warmed up it bubbles and boils out. And it is VERRRRYYY hot!
Any ideas? Thanks.

NCross is correct. If you have an extra vacuum line for your carb you can hook the breather from the oil fill tube up to that vac hookup with a PCV valve and the engine will simply ingest the nastiness thats coming out of there. If you search for "lung mustard" you will see different setups to solve your problem.

Yank out the canister too I have my rats nest out so I just hooked the "out" side back into the carburetor spacer barb. Mine doesn't bubble and boil out though. Maybe a few drops here and there. There may be some excess moisture in your oil. Or it could be low quality oil. Switch to Castrol GTX 20w50 if your not already using it.
BTW, has the car flooded multiple times? This can cause gasoline to mix into your crank case which can be bad if enough of it gets in there. Gasoline isn't a very good motor oil...
