N/A Power!!!

Who here, on this board, has the highest hp from a N/A 12a or 13b (carburated) for that matter. I'm interested in knowing, because I plan on getting the most out of the engine, and would like to know what I could do without going overboard on porting. I'm more interested in knowing the output of the 12a, but i wont discriminate if someone has a rather powerful 13b.
If you just know someone with a powerful 12a, please post that as well. Thank you

I've seen dyno sheets of a race car with 260hp with a fuel injected, heavily ported 13b. The torque and hp were very peaky and not very streetable.

My friend was getting 285 hp out of a bridge-ported OLD STYLE (dual distributor) 12A using a downdraft Weber. Sorry, I don't remember if it was a 48mm or 51mm. The motor was in a 165 mph RX3 that was raced in GT3 class.

the car im talkin about has a holly 650 ... RB headers straight pipe to a super trap... heavily SP i am prety sure racing trans i dont remember who made it... it was origionaly a circle track race but was takin out of the races and had it slightly moded for the road ( suspension n ****) its running about 267 HP i think 13B but the guy had it carbed. thing sounds freakin amazing it burries the rpm tach i believe it revs to around 13k rpm ...without destroying the engine. obviously it has a lightened fly, and all those goodies.

He claims its true, and has posted dyno charts, but I guess noone believes him. I don't know why, as I haven't been around this forum long enough to get a feel for different members.

If you go to:
http://www.mazdacomp.com/customerscars.html
they list cars running 10s, 11s that are NA (although only in a couple cases do they specify NO2 use). That's a lot more than 275hp, but they're drag cars, and probably not what this guy is looking for.

I'll need a dyno before I buy into this (or at least some other confirmations).

I don't think he's joking. If it really is a joke, he's taking it quite far Check out some of the threads he talks about his car in and see what it has done. Pretty extensive.
