My rx7!

So about two weeks ago my dad wakes me up from sleep and is really excited. So I look outside and there it is, my first car. !!!!! A rx7 !!!!! This is the car I'm, Learning to drive on!!! I have already drove it often and put a stero system in it. (kind of[Came with aftermarket speaker and two tweeders{not great either =( }, I put amp+sub])
Anyways I uploaded a few pictures, wasn't sure how to Put them into the post but w/e you'll see them. It was raining and there was a little dog that thought he was tough{Tried to attack me ....lil bastard across the steet} so I did quicky job for the pics. Hope you like it as much as I do!!!

P.S . I am 16 so I just thinks its soooo cool my first car is an FB rx7 1983 limited edition.

One last thing, I put the pics of my amp and sub becuase I am at a total loss of where to put them. I am hoping where I have them is temporay but I honestly don't see anywhere eles to put my sub!!! (My amp just needs longer cords and I'll put it in the lil box behind one of the seats)

Mind you my parking job....still learning

Nice, DON'T let anybody try to trade wheels with you...lol. Looks good. I'm also 16. Check out the faq page at the top, the archives, and the search button at the top right. These will help you out a lot for any questions you might have. Check for rust behind the storage bins(where you said your going to put the amp) for rust. Also the wheel wells. God bless

Are you parked on the curb??..lol. You'll get the hang of the 5 speed quick if your good with your hands and feet. I've never seen a e-brake pulled that high...lol

Nice. Not many of us can say our first car was an RX-7, let alone an 83 LE. Looks pretty good though. Just check for rust anywhere you can like stated and you'll be okay. How does she run? The archives and FAQs are a good place to read and learn. I'[m sure Trochoid will chim in with his sig line to the FSM's and carb manuals. Judging by the e-brake, you need new rear brake shoes, it'll make a hell of a difference

Silly me!

Aahahaha, I forgot the goods! Well, pretty much everything is stock, yesterday I had to rip out my raditor becuase of a MASSIVE coolant link[Being fixed as I type ^.^'] The motar, stock, has 140k miles. I know that, that's pretty bad for a piston engine but the whole wankel is ...new to me.
I didn't even think about checking for rust, good idea guys. My handbreak, its SCREWED. Needs to be ajusted badly(like the above post says[Pretty knoweldgable for just one look man, props]) My breaks aren't to shabby, but theres alot of things I want to do with this car. Not sure the direction I want to take it. I know that I'll be driving this car daily, I want to custumize it for drifting, But AutoX Intrests me ALOT. Glad everybody likes it!

P.S - If you could give me a nudge on which way would be more efficant for a daily drive, but have mods... I mean errrr .... I'm driving this car everyday, so.....what would be more efficant, dirft, or street race kinda (AutoX) [Efficant I mean...Money wise and lasting longest{engine}].

haha, well it all starts with the FAQ forum, read it all, then you should have a start! if you want a daily driver then you cant have a autoX car at the same time, but you can have a "little" bit of both. whitch is what most people do around here. For example. a daily driver with a mild street port, and a complete RB exhaust system, and maybe a little suspension mods aswell. But since we are young, we WILL change our minds ALOT about what do to with a rx7 hahaha so my advice is, make your decisions very wisely, dont make permenent changes without lots of thought, i learned that the hard way lol

No. hehe, but some of these "purists" do. "Ooh la la, LE rims, circa 83". MEH.

All I can say is that they fit the car, but I'd personally sweat having to put one in my garbage-can each week for the next four weeks just to get rid of them. LOL.

WTG on the car though. RX7s are fun and great for first timers in my opinion. However, you will likely need to learn some wrenching skills for these cars. I know I do.

Drifting take lots of dollars, tires and experience. It's also very hard on the car, mechnical and body. AutoX is much safer and considerably cheaper. It's also a good place to begin to learn performance driving. Get some time in AutoXing, then think about building a seperate drift car.

Welcome to the forum and the Darkside. In my sig line is a link to the online FSMs, carb manual etc.. Be sure to read through the FQAs too. Last line is my toy I've been building for 2 years and still have a long ways to go.

First letme just say, Wow!!!!!!! Trochoid, that car is absolutly REDICULOIUS!!!!(sp)

Thanks for the links, even though their in your sig and took you no time, that will help a great deal.

Now, I know drifting IS going to take alot of expereince, so I apreciate the suggestion into autoX, I'm almost certain that, that is what I'll get into.

One more time......Nice car!!!

Question! ...... The 'Darkside' O.o?

I thought about the dad part too guys. Autox would probably be best for you. You'll like your wheels once you find out how hard it is to find wheels for your car when/if that time ever comes. Check out www.racingbeat.com and www.mazdatrix.com for parts for you car. These are the best two sites to me. www.rockauto is good also. Before you go and put on performance, make sure your suspension, steering, brakes, etc. is up to par.

You could also mount the amp like I have my CD changer. There is not much room for anything else.
