My REW in a SA project
http://www.sleeper7.com/
Installed a REW radiator up front out of the way. The other day I let the temp go to 180f before turning on the fans, dropped to 160 in a very short time. Not running a t-stat. Did cut a few holes in the cowl so air would not be trapped in the radiator area. Cut the stock round pipe brace to make room for the radiator and welded in a new brace back a few inches.
Also used the stock REW motor mounts along with the stock SA mounts.
I wanted the shifter as far back as possible so I did not redrill the front stock motor mount bracket that would have placed the motor in the stock location. That 3/4 of a inch along with the placement of the turboII trans shifter being back a few inches, put the shifter in a perfect location were I do not have to reach to shift into third gear.

Looks like a very impressive sleeper. For interest sake why aren't you running a T-stat? With a race car it can still be beneficial since your engine will get to operating temperature faster.
I love how you have the exhaust exiting out of the engine bay! Keep up the good work and make sure to keep us posted on what kind of times your able to lay down!

The front wing exhaust exit is something I really want to do on my 13BT FB project mainly for shiz and giggles-are we really talking crazy DB's to the extent I'd be pulled over every five minutes? I've only seen a drag car with this setup so have no point of reference......I know it'd be loud, but how loud is the question!

No plans for paint right now.
T-stat. I like running the car at 140/150 at the line. In the past with the FC, the temp would go to 180 at the end. The cooling system would probly maintain 180 with a t-stat but just got so use to running with out one for a track only car. I also added lots of fuel in the coolant temp map when it gets to 200. Just hate to run these things hot.
It is loud but not as loud as I thought with the side exit. My last car had it dump under the car before the axles. That was loud. And the heat wrap is really good at keeping the noise down.

I thought the four mount thing would help with motor twisting. Also chained the drivers side mounts down to help from lifting. May go to solid mounts later but hate how it feels in the drivers seat.
The other night I forgot to turn on the cooling fans and the temp went to 101c deg. When the fans came on the temp quickly fell to 70c. Both fans are powered by one switch but one fans ground goes through a temp switch and comes on and goes off at 70c. This is how the temp is regulated at 70c. works like a champ. But it has been cold out so the real test will be this summer. Hope this stock FD radiator holds up then.
