My ported S5 engine

Just some pics of my new ported S5 engine that one of the forum members rebuilt with some 3rd gen internals. I already removed and replaced with SE front cover, pick up tube, oil pan and a FD oil pressure reg. RB street/strip clutch and P/P with TII throwout bearing. The motor has hardend stationary gears,3rd gen corner seal/springs, dowel pins and i think some other upgraded interanls too. The porting is a mild street port. I have plugged the oil/fuel injectors. The motor will sit on RB motor mounts and has a full RB streetport exhaust system. To stop is new Master cyl, S/S brake lines, cross drilled slotted rotors, Hawk Hp's in Reman front and rear calipers. Tokico Illuminas front and rear with Respeed coil over/camber plates up front, and suspension techniques sway bar and poly end links too. The rear is RB springs, and sway bar has been removed. I will be using a 45 dcoe, with SE LIM, stock SE pump with a mallory 4309 FPR. Future plans will be S5 CAS, UIM,LIM and TB with some sort of standalone Maybe MS i dont know yet but i would like to be FI.

Thanks guys. I just realized that i dont have a dipstick for this centerplate. The SE doesnt even have a tube off the centerplate. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Ill probably just buy a S5 oil dipstick.

I would run shorter springs in the back, the RB springs in the rear will make the car look really high in the back if you want the car to look nice with your coil-overs.

The motor look sexy

Does anyone else live in the house? I can't believe they let you put the motor in the living room

Actully I think the living room is a perfect place for such a rad engine. Great color on that, looks gorgeous. Sounds like your set up is pretty much gonna be awesome. Very cool......

Purdy. Yes an S4/5 dipstick will fit. If you pulled the metal tube out of the iron, a 13B one would even work.

Having trouble loading the videos. Any suggestions? FWIW ive never done videos before. One is of the exhaust note at the muffler idle and revving and the other is of the engine revving.

I'd worry about the dipstick hole size being too large if you pulled the tube. The rubber part probably wouldn't seal very well. It's good that you went with a 2nd gen dipstick.
