My Plan...

Alright i am going on to do a 12at when i find a 12a to do it on. This is my setup i am thinking of:
Blowthrough
650 holley
t3/t4 turbo
3" exhaust
3" intake
Streetport
Looking for 350rwhp

My question is does anyone think a 650 is too big?

Thanks

It depends on how much boost you want to run. Are you going to Intercool it? Any drivetrain mods?My plan is:
T04/HT-18 hybrid turbo
intercooler(undecided on type)
Unsure on carb, need more research
3" turbo back exhaust
Bridgeport
Hardened stationary gear
Port matched intake/possibly new intake depending on carb
full emissions and AC delete
MSD ignition
FMOC
Turbo II transmission
Custom driveshaft
GSL rear end
SE hub/spindles
I think that about does it for my set up, not including any little details that i may have forgotten about or are more or less undecided about doing

If you're shooting for 350 hp I'd uprgrade the trans. The 12A trans is strong but not strong enough for 12psi daily and 15-18 on tracks.

It bolts up but you need the 12A counterweight IIRC, and the Turbo II clutch and pessure plate. Can't remember on the flywheel. Custom driveshaft is required

Most ofyour questions can be answered by the "Search" button. Archive is full of good info. A TII tranny will bolt up to the engine just fine. You will need to modify the shifter housing of your 12a tranny and bolt it to the TII. You can easily modify the 12a mount and have a TII drive shaft adapted and balanced for about $150

When you say track, do you mean Road or Drag? If you are dragging I would also recommend an upgraded rearend. It will melt like butter under hard launches with those numbers.

650 Holley Definatly not too big. I would go with a Weber, but I guess it depends on what you are used to. Much easier to tune and there is Tons of support for turbo aplications on the forum. Good luck

I also think you will need 12A-T housings. They have the oil injection in the housing just like 13BT. I have a set of j-spec 12A-t housings but they are not for sale. I'm using mine a a full bridge'd 12A. If you want to see pics of my new porting wait one week, cause i'm going to SNK's next week for holidays and doing the porting on my new 12A irons and port the 12A-T housings to match the full bridge. Just watch www.bcrotary.com for the pics. I'm sure i will post them here as well but cody is from bc as well.

J Spec housings are not required. I could be thinking of some other swap with the counterweight, It's been a long week
