My oil leak saga continued

All of the reponses and pictures have been helpful. Does seem like the dowel pin is leaking. The OMP I found and the lines are greasy but the oil is not pooling under the pump. The leak seems to be at the back of the motor on the passenger side. I put a plastic sheet under the car and this seems to be where a small pool of motor oil is leaking. Help

1985 GSL 12 A

I appreciate all the help.

How about trying some of that engine oil stop leak. Worked for my 12A.

The oil ends up at the back of the car due to the airflow.

Well I'm feeling like a preacher, I've given this sermon so many times already, but the short version goes: Ray buys his first 7 a few years ago, a stock 84 GSL, from his brother-in-law, gets it home, changes the oil and it's leaking like a sieve. A little poking around shows some epoxy spread along the rotor housings up in front of the 12A logo, on the driver's side of the engine, with a little pool of oil in the recess next to it. Calls brother-in-law and asks about getting it back down to Florida for an engine rebuild; also calls around about how much this is going to cost - about as much as the car (see the 84 GSL at http://members.cardomain.com/turd10).

OK, nothing to loose, so I switch to 20-50 oil and add some engine oil stop leak. Whoa!! Right away leak goes from drip-drip-drip to drip once in a while. After about 1000 miles, no drips at all, just surface oil. 30,000 miles later, with the stop leak added every 3-5000 miles at oil changes, engine runs great and oil leak, while not completely eliminated, is not a problem. The car got rear ended last summer, but I still have it, the engine runs fine and I plan to put it back on the road when (and if) the Turd (my 85 GSL) starts to look like more work. Engine Oil Stop Leak.

Amen.
