My new rx7 exhaust!!!

of course being me i had to do it custom...so i bought some mandrel piping and did it from scratch. cut weld cut weld....yay!!!!

on to the pics...

now as you can see the exhaust hands slightly to low (for my tastes) however i will be cutting my down pipe and raising it about and inch and a half to add more ground clearance for when i drop this thing

What are the mufflers? That looks nice, and the best part is its removable!

Edit: What size is the exhaust cut out? I have a cable operated 2" over here...

Are those real Ti tips? Where did you go those? Man...I always loved the look of the "rainbow" burn on Ti stuff. Any sound clips?

Very Nice!

What type of shocks are those, and why were you grinding on your axle?

Do you have any kind of extra vibrations with this? Or do you have a few rubber hangers/flexpipe? I just welded up something similar but using a stock-ish mufler and 2.5" with mandrels and I welded it up maybe a little too close i think,it vibrates some throughout the rpm's even though it does not actually touch the underbody,I think a flex-pipe is in order unless you have any tips.

Yeah i would add a flexpipe....it should get rid of the vibrations

This is a 3" mandrel setup all the way back.

its a 3 inch cutout.

its not Ti since Ti is VERY VERY hard to weld without the proper setup.

grinding on the rear end...well probably because its not stock (custom home brewed)

those are megan coilovers...

Muffler is a Aspec Blastpipe...its stainless with heat treated tips. its not even a muffler...just full back tips..lol

no sound clips as of yet as i dont have my cam working properly yet...maybe soon..(btw guys this isnt rotary so dont expect the same sound)

and just for poo's and giggles some more pics since some peeps been commenting on the rear setup.

as i've been telling everyone that i was going to do it (im no poser i do as i say im going to) Its a Toyota 8" rear end (length is almost identical to a stock rx setup, but with MUCH much bigger axles) and will be upgraded to disc in the rear soon enough...and 17x10 rears and possibly 17x8 or 9 fronts...havent 100% decided if i want to flare the car with the flares i have....hmm...

To add to DFs, 3" system, it does fit. I made my own out of mandrel bent 3" pipe from the collected header back It not only works, (a bit too loud), but it fits with no clearance problems what so ever.

love the coilovers!!! the exhaust looks really nice as well. i'm sure it'll be loud. i'm not a fan of the piston engine in the 7, but i respect the amount of work and time that it took to put in as well as the love you must have for the car. keep us updated on your progress!
