Not to worry. I won't be giving up on this project. But working a full time job, training Muay Thai full time, and helping my wife with upkeep around the house tends to eat up the spare time I have for the car. I'm going to take a couple weeks of vacation pretty soon though. Then I'll have at least 6 hours a day to work on the car with no interruptions.

Hopefully, yes. I wanted to get the turbo, exhaust mani, and exhaust off this past weekend but that didn't happen. I'm going to get some time to work on it again soon though. And I just got a hold of a new motor for the car thanks to a VERY generous member of this forum. The motor has 6K miles on it with brand new housings and irons!!

Zach, you had better be doing the engine bay and door jams, otherwise I'm going to have to come down there and confiscate that car from you... It's gotta be against some sort of law or forum rules to not do a *full* paint job on a project of this magnitude on a car so rare... just let me find that law book I've got around here somewhere

Good choice on the colour though. I've always been a fan of silver 7s.. (I wonder why )

Jon,

Not to worry the paint job is being done correctly. I wouldn't dare do a Maaco style paint job on this car. But I might go back with the original scheme and flat black the engine bay. That's how it is right now. I'm still undecided about that one though.

You got it. Now that everything is back to normal I can FINALLY get a chance to start working on my baby again. It's been FAR too long since anything has been done.

And yes Ben, those dates work perfectly for me. I'm going to try and take leave for the entire time so that we can work as much as we need to. I'll call you soon and we can go over the details.

Update, this car still rules. I had to work again last weekend so time for the car got killed. I have a 4 day weekend this week so that should give me enough time to get the engine loose and ready to pull out as soon as I borrow a cherry picker from someone. Pics will be included of course.

Thanks Glenn. You'll get to see the car at this year's SevenStock as long as everything goes according to schedule. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Not too much else has gone on. I had to pull some parts from other FB's lately to prep for the Avatar. That plus picking up an '88 vert for my wife's new DD and that pretty much brings us up to date. When I go to remove the exhaust and turbo/manifold soon I'll be taking pics of that and posting them up.

Funny you should mention that. We did buy Icemark's vert. Good call as I have never seen as clean of a vert as that one. My wife is LOVING that car. So do I actually. I have been lucky enough to log quite a bit of seat time in it already. It's always a safe bet buying a car off someone who is as particular about his cars as Icemark.
