My first time at the track (1/4 mile runs)

1st race versus 82 rx7 stock, w/ extra weight (subwoofers).

TERRIBLE start, spun the tires for a few seconds, he pulled ahead, then i beat him by 3 or 4 carlenghts.

2nd race versus some sort of hybrid old car, chevelle i think, with a moderately big engine w/ no exhaust, i had it all the way through 2nd, when i accidentally shifted into 5th! i'm a retard DOH. so i lost that one by about 2 carlenghts, it would have been REALLY close had i shifted right.

3rd race was versus an 86 or an 87 rx-7 6 port, who i WHOPPED by 4 carlengths (this was my best run of the night).

4th race was versus a 96 5.0 mustang. My car decided to be insanely slow. I odnt know what happened, but it just wouldnt go. He beat me by at least 5 carlenths, and i was only going 80 across the line. Hm, still my car isnt running right.

They didnt time. But still, they were slow as all hell. I was only going about 80 across the line. i think more like 88 against the 87.

My car needs to be fixed, but i'm running out of things to fix!!! and its still slow!

Fix that exhaust problem, and correct your 6-port actuators.

If you don't already have an RB exhaust, then get it.

No its always been slow. I have the 6th ports wired open. The exhaust just WASNT doing it.

my mods:

racing beat dual long pirmary (street port) exhaust system

bonez cone filter itnake

removed: PS, AC, air pump

new fuel filter, new sparks, new wires

the engine seems to run really strong.

OH BY THE WAY, my exhaust is now twice as loud as it was before the races. I think i cleared whatever was in the exhaust out, cause its tons louder now (for the better, i would say)

A compression check by a competent rotary shop (or a dealership), followed by an expert analysis of the numbers, may be helpful. It's possible that the compression has been low in one rotor for quite some time, and you'd never know it without a comp check. Might be good to know this first, before fixing something that don't need no fixin'..
