Finally, an RX7.

Howdy fellas! I just bought an 83 RX7 (I'm pretty sure its the LE edition) from one of my friend's friend. He was a mechanic who got the car for free from a customer and he was looking to unload it. So I came along and swooped it up for a mere $300. Yep, only two zeros. The thing has 200K mi on it, but it runs really nicely (I never knew carburation could sound so great). The only problem is some bad paint, and the interior could use some work; I'll post some pics of it pretty soon. Anyways, I was wondering if there were any problems I should be on the look out for, or try and listen to while I'm driving it. ANY help would be appreciated, thanks a mil!

with 200k miles, the future reliability of the engine would be my main concern. Lots of carberated piston engines don't make it that far, nevermind a little wankel. She's probably getting a little worn out inside, so don't overrev it or do anything TOO harsh to it. If they'res no issues with the car aside from faded paint and rough seats, I wouldn't worry about it! just keep it up, change the oil, and it will be good to you!
