Talking my first 7

well since i was a kid i wanted a mazda rotary, and a couple months ago i stumbled upon my dream car on craigslist. an '84 se white with red interior. the interior is absolutely mint not one rip in the seats and the doors shut like new, better then my daily driver. now the car is road ready for the most part. but i amm gunna get it paint and some body work done to it first. but the reason why i post this is the old woman i bought the car from said that ever so often the car just wouldnt start. and it has a problem with the idle until it warms up a bit, it wont hold an idle at all until it warms, if at all. can you guys help me out on where to start and what may be wrong?

How dare you say you have a new GSL-SE and not post pictures of it!

Lol, just kidding with ya. Welcome to the darkside. I am not knowledgeable in the GSL-SE district of first gens. Hopefully more people will join in and give you a heads up on what it can be. Enjoy your 7 and your empty pockets

check the Frequently asked questions part of the first gen section and you will see something like "surging idle problems on GSL-SE models"not sure if thats the problem, but might help.
