My findings..

well, ive mentioned i want to do a S5 13b motor swap into my car with a street port and racing beat header.

looking into the porting, i found this on mazda trix's

if youll notice the "diffuser" on the n/a housing, and no "diffuser" on the turbo housing. mazda trix states when doing a port job, they simply use the turbo housing on n/a motors so they dont need to grind it out because its hardened steel. well, this is a big problem for me since i cant afford $400 a piece rotor housings. i made a trip to the junk yard, and i luckily someone had already pulled and taken apart a motor to see if it was good (it wasnt) so it was ALL over the interior. i finished part of the job, and took the better housing. today was the first day back to school, and i had shop class, so we took the ocy-actylene torch (dont think i spelt that right) and "blew" it out. this is the results...

on one of the pictures, you can see we took too much out of the insert. i think wiht a little more care this can be done properly. just thought i would share...

I just sold a pair of TII rotor housing for $200. I've talked to people who cut that out with a dremel and a cold chisel. I've talked to one guy who took out the roll pin that hold the whole steel insert in the housing. It opens the port up way big, but it lets more heat get to the aluminum.

Nice zoom and focus on the camera. my digital camera sucks

I was told it takes a while. Just gotta take your time.

You did a good job though. I got a 86-88 13B N/A gasket set from atkins rotary. I don't need it now cause I sold the engine I was going to rebuild. They sell them for $140+. If you need a rebuild kit, I'll sell it to you for $115 (including shipping to your door.)
