Is my car going to explode?
So I read a few posts and heard mention of the fuel tank exploding if the charcoal canister is disconnected. I dont think my car even has one! The line from the gas tank are no where in sight. Am I gonna die?

I removed my canister a long time ago, and I haven't exploded yet. It catches on fire now and then, but what rx7 doesn't?
Just kidding. I haven't had any issues without mine. Never even smelled any gas fumes.

the problem is gas can drop onto the exhaust manifold and catch fire
I have ran for several years without my charcoal canister with no real problems but i feel alot better with it on
it has no adverse effects on how your car runs so why not jsut leave it on?

I know what you mean, I've read the posts referring to this issue. This is a complete myth. The story goes:
"the charcoal canister is under vacuum pressure, and provides vacuum to the tank. The tank has to be under vacuum at all times, otherwise the sending unit (which sparks all the time) will ignite the fumes causing you to go boom".
Utter bullshit. There is, however, a proper way to perform the removal. Do your research and I'm sure you won't go wrong.
