First problem - the engine stops when you turn on A/C at idle? If so, check the idle compensation (there is a device that moves the idle up a little when A/C is on).
It is possible that you have a restriction that is overloading the system but start with the first thing - check that you have appropriate idle compensation.

And the compressor does suck a lot of HP, so that is not too much of a surprise but it is hard to diagnose with what you have provided. If you have a buddy with gauges, that can be a big help.

It comes from the white solenoid.
Is the rest of the rat's nest there?

We'll help but we're not clairvoyant. We need details.

Pictures are great.

All right, here is all the info, 84 gs, all stock, all the emission stuff is gone, it's and electrical catastrophy as all the hoses tht connect to the air cleaner are gone. Alot of the vacumm hoses and stuff are just plugged as i have no idea where they connect to. i adjusted my carb 4bbl nikki to idle at 700 rpm with no problem and some of the vacumm hoses plugged. I will take pic's and post althought i dont know how as i am computer iliterate. any other info you need to help me out will gladly answer. thanks

Why do you think it is the compressor?

Turn the idle up until you fix the problem or Miami freezes over.

Yep - you may find that AC draws 200-300 RPM at idle...

FL

guys i checked the tutorial and most of the things are correct, the idle compensator is closed, just like in the tutorial, some things are diffrent like the vacumm lines fro,m the distributor dont form a t, they go seperatly into the carburator and i removed alot more than what the tutorial said, like the after burn valve , many diaphams and alot more things, which are plugged, the choke valve as well is taken out. guys i would post pics, and i do have them, but i have no idea how to, tell me how and you can see the carburator thanks

It's the throttle opener, not the idle compensator that ups the idle when the AC comp kicks in. It's a black mushroom looking thing attached to the rear of the carb, it has a metal rod ( the stem of the mushroom) that pulls the throttle open.
It needs vacuum, controlled by the white solenoid, to operate correctly.

well, there is my problem, i stripped my nikki because the car had none of the solenoids so i removed it and it was broken as well, so that is my problem. anyone know how to fix it, without having to find a throttle opener and the white solenoid?

Without the throttle opener working, you have 2 options. Set the idle up, or leave the AC off.

doesn't any other colored solenoid work the same? just color coded different, so if it is i believe you could just use any one of them.

It won't hurt to turn up the idle temporarily. Ez to do with a long screwdriver.

There is only one hole on the top of the throttle opener. (I’ll post a picture Tuesday night)

It comes from the 1st or 2nd vac port at the base of the carb.

No solenoid means the throttle opener is always pushing your idle up.
Which is the same thing a turning the idle screw

Any of the solenoids from the rat’s nest will work

The white solenoid was controled by the wires with the white connector at the end, which used to connect to the white solenoid on the rat's nest.

Brand new ones cost about $70, so I'd haunt me some junkyards.

Or find someone who's stripped their rats nest, and strike a deal.

good news and bad news, i found a spare solenoid in my box of spare parts with t's and hoses and everything with the throttle opener functioning and all, thats the good news, now the bad news is that the retard that had the car before me cut the wire that connects to the white solenoid. so how can i find the cable that the white solenoid is supposed to be and how can i connect it to the solenoid?

Use the wiring diagram linked in the RX Dr.s sig, and it will give you the colors for the wires. It'll be part of the harness that crosses the engine. You may need to chase it all the way back to the main disconnect, where you can pick it up as a specific pin number, again from the wiring diagram.

You may need to make find or improvise the right connector to hook the solenoid up. And you should test it first, make sure it works.
