muffler pipe size

what is the size of pipe used in the pipe going over ur axle mine is rusted out and need all new system???lookin at just welding a n1 style can to the pipe over my axle so whats the diameter of that ?????????

I'd go ahead and get the racing beat muffler if i were you. I had the N1 system on my car. It doesn't look that great, sounds not so great, and is WAY too loud. I mean seriously man. WAAAAAY too loud.

Yeah, unless you always run it with the silencer in, it'll be REALLY loud. Your ears will be ringing after a 20minute drive.

also, correct me if i'm wrong, anyone, but depending on the year of your car, you may be in for a bit of a hassle... i believe the 2nd series (81-83) run a dual long primary that goes to a collector just before or just after the axle, so you may be in the hole for a little more labor than you're looking for. yeah, run a silencer, or you'll be sorry.

im already buyin the racing beat streetable headers and cat converter pipe leavin the stock connect pipe then the can is rusted so i was just gunna weld the n1 crap on there to keep it keep for a few months since im startin school back up and work at the site is over but i will go ahead and buy a racing beat muffler too thanks guys
