MSD's in stock location?

Hey,

I am replacing my stock Diamond coils with MSD Blaster 2's and they are about the same size. I know that MSD recommends that you mount the coils upright vertically because of the oil inside and all that, but I am tight on space in my engine bay and I need to mount them in the stock location. Do you guys think the MSD's will be okay like this of will they burn out or something?

I agree. Afterall, the stock coils are oil filled as well so it can't be that critical.

Yes I do and in fact I listen to your advice and take it to mind quite often. Even if the advice came from the instructions in the box.

I've read MSD saying that..so I bought the High Vibration Blasters instead of the 2's.

I also have mine mounted in the stock location. I believe the 'high vibration' version of the msd coil is intended for old skool mounting on top of an engine (ala old v8's or what-not). Since we mount ours on the chassis, it's practically a ride in the park for the coils.

I've never installed MSD coils in the stock location and I haven't had a single problem yet with that configuration.
