Even if I get 4 coils and 4 ignitors? Because the shaft inside is bent a little and it hits one of the points inside. So I would love to just remove the internal atleast so it doesn't touch anymore.

Well it should come from the 4 point under the cap/rotor aka dizzy. its the top of the cap and rotor that touch and once it touches it bends the point out of the way.

For direct fire your getting a weak signal generated by the magnetics in the dizzy. If you get rid
of the dizzy, as Cookboy said, where will you get a signal? Are you adding toothed wheel and a
sensor along with a standalone computer to count the pulses and signal the coils? It didn't
sound like it.

Direct fire for the trailing is really not possible anyway, because, um, its trailing already. Also the
trailing cannot be wasted spark fired in tandem like the leadings or you will get preignition
in the next chamber. You can remove the trailing all together and have no plug/coil wires to the
dizzy. Thats what I do because the ignition I have is just fine without.

What I would love to do is remove the rotor under the cap. If I can just use the leading and drop the trailing off then that should work for what I want because that would allow me to remove the 3 point rotor under the cap since that is what it hitting while the engine tours over at on of the points
