So tell us what the two MSD's have done for your car. Was it worth it? Did you go from stock directly to that? Butt dyno readings?

Anyone try the Crane Cams Hi-6 yet? I'm hearing good things about that particular box. May have to try it myself. MSD 6a's are excellent but not very reliable.

I know that there are a few Hi-6 systems out there, and from what I gather, they work just fine. I personally have never seen one in person.

UnReliable???? Since when? I have never heard one person mention it as being unreliable. I am running a single MSD with no probs. I have the other one on hand ready to install.

Only reliability problems I have heard with MSD is they burn out weak ignition coils. IIRC (and this is from a long time ago, so even if I remember right, it maybe has changed) MSD's own coils didn't stand up to the MSD ignition box, but new stock ones could.

If you go around the net and search forums, its seems that many MSD boxes fail. MSD even has info that confirms this on there site. I just ordered the Crane Cams box from Jegs today so I'll compare that to MSD's 6a and take it from there. I like MSD and not trying to knock there products, but I think for the price the MSD 6a isnt the best bang for the buck. Mallaroy even makes a nice digital 6a box for under $150.00.

All electronics fail eventually. I have an OLD msd 6a box on my car, don't know how old it is but the case is different from all the ones I've seen. You only really need it on the leading, but if you want a rev limiter then you need a box on both leading and trailing, since it can still overrev running only on the trailing ignition.

All of them will last longer if you put them in the glove compartment or behind the dash. I'm waiting for the Bluetooth Wireless ones. That will truly be the shat. Getting a turtlehead just thinking about it.

Uhum.... It is specifiacally stated to NOT install these systems within an enclosed compartment. The glovebox would fulfill this definition. The casings are basically a huge heatsink and need moving air.

No, trust me, I love sarcasm, but alot of the less informed members might take him at his word. This could result in someone pissed off at their 7 and the forum.

You believe everything you read on the box? The COMPANY knows that if you put it in your glove box that it will last about 40 forevers, so they throw you off with that warning. Corporate greed, I tell you !

Kids: Don't believe anything I have said in my last two posts (including this one) on this thread. I am not responsible for anything that you do based on what I recommend.

If I said I have my Flex-lite 150 mounted as a pusher in front of my radiator and that it cuts way, way down on the bugs in the radiator grill AND ALSO my car warms up so much quicker, you'd have to believe that, wouldn't you ?
