moving oil filter location

Is there any info about moving the location of the oil filter on a 1984 gs 12a. Like a block off plate with hoses for a remote location.

If you are still planning on using the beehive style oil cooler then keep in mind that you can switch to the better front mount cooler if you have a spot for it. It might make things more compact in the filter area.

Their catalog is excellent! The info inside is well worth the few bucks it costs.

Thanks for all the info, the picture is great. I am a machinist and making one like that would take less than an hour. Zoomie

Dude, just pay the money for the properly Researched, and Designed part. You're gonna risk your oil system to something you're gonna make 5 times over to get it right?

I know at $42 bucks it's a little steep, but it's also sleep at night.

"yes make sure you r&d your simple block of aluminum with holes drilled in it you silly machinist"

Are you going to relocate the filter from the neck or put the filter inline with the filter. I've seen kits for both. But if you can make one I have absolutely no discourageing words.

You sleep at night DF? I figured that you stay up all night working/driving your RX!

I have a oil filter relocation kit that would work for you but the lines on it are OLD. You would have to make new ones.

Email me if you want it.

RB have some really good quality parts. But some of them are just as easily fabricated, such as their $85 engine mounts and this $42 block of aluminum with holes drilled in it.
