MMO Treatment??? HELP!!
Yes, Ive done the search, but all im getting is a bunch of conflicting comments. I picked up a bottle of MMO (16oz) and now i want to know what to do with it. Should I put some in my oil? (just got an oil change) Put some in my gas tank? (Leaks over $6 worth, cant fill up) Or could I just get it running and pour some down the carb to clean things up?? I know Id probably need new plugs after doing this, and would I run it on the old plugs for awhile to clean it all up, or change right after i run the MMO out? I have a 1985 GSL 12a Carbed. Its been sitting for roughly two years, but seems to run out nicely after changing the fluids and filters. Someone suggested MMO but im not sure which meathod to administer it. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!!

from what i understand, take out your plugs and pour it in the spark plug holes, turn your e shaft and pour it in again until you get each side of the rotor and let it sit for a few hours.

I read your email
1) add about 16oz to your oil and then notice all the black junk that comes out next change
2) add about 10oz per gas tank fillup, it'll clean your carb after a half dozen treatments
3) pull out your leading spark plugs and coat your rotors well (aka ATF treatment). BTW, my spark plugs were fine after doing the MMO treatment.

Do everything you listed above. Add a full quart to 20-50 oil. Add 1oz/gallon to the gas. You can also pour an 1-2 oz thru the spark plug holes. It won't foul the plugs like atf. BTW, atf has never done anything useful for me.

agreed, mmo is the win. atf is worthless IMO. i've done it 3 times and it didnt help. mmo though at every gas fill up has had a nice effect. smoother running rex!

The only place I haven't ruled out is UAP/NAPA, I phoned there but the (obviously new guy) wasn't even sure how to check for me. So other than NAPA you can try ordering some from a local auto parts store, or buy it online. FYI there is even a petition going to Canadian Tire to start selling it again.

Hey Wagondriver, I took a look at the photos of your new GSL and from the looks of things, I don't think even MMO will help because it will probably just leak out all those the bullet holes as fast as you pour it in the gas, engine or anything else. Looks like a good project though!
