Check you post in the second gen forum.

Theres 2 mini coopers in Tampa area with rotaries,Im not sure which engine though.

You need to decide what engine willbe better for you...
12A
13B N/A
13BT

20 B

Once you knwo what engine then decide on the carb set up,you can make a any 13b into a carbed engine and 12As came carbed

LOL, I think youd have to widen the car to get a 20B in there.

thats sounds kinda odd,the only reason i can think that someone would wanna do this is to have a mini in a different class..that is if its being x'ed or rallied.

How do you connect a Mazda rotary engine to a front wheel drive transaxle?

An adapter plate and a little ingenuity.

It's not hard to make a mini rearwheel drive. And it's also not hard to build simple tube frame peices for them.

Every car should have a rotary.....

Although, the mini has unbelievably great handling on its own as a FWD lightweight sub-compact car. Why would you want to change it, and throw it all off?

Just a novelty item?

I can't imagine a 12a weighing much more than a stock iron 60s designed 4 banger.. 30 or 40lb, maybe, but not much more

it sure would be COOL

Didn't they make some punched out racing engine for the Mini that had some real horsepower?

Aren't they powered by 1.0L? If so, just toss a 10A in there.

HEy, Brealistic, there is a MINI race team that is always out at the SCCA road races around here. One of the minis has like a 200 horse 1.3 liter that reves around 9500. this car is awsome!!!! has a wide body kit, full aero package, and always runs in the front of its ITE class...... the kicker, its painted Hot PInk and driven by a chick, Pretty damn cool.

Original Mini's can be made into little buzz bombs on a road course. Plus they have this really bitchin' quadruple 1 barrel set-up...

Mini's were the first space efficient transverse engine front wheel drive car in the mass market. That is their main claim to fame. They are the antithesis of rear drive.

I say gut the rear of the car and put a 13B turbo in the front and in the back of a mini Have a crazy dual engine AWD mini, lol. Hmmmm.... 400hp per engine.... imagine an 800hp sub 2000lb car

I have no idea where these ideas come from... lol
