mild streetport, possible carb options?

Okay here goes my first forum post.

me and my dad have a 1979 rx7 with a stock 12a with give or take 88000km on it. Our plan with this car is to strip it and paint it and i was thinking with the engine being out anyways why not prematurly replace the apex seals since these are still the stock seals that have been sitting in the car for over 40 years, and i don't want to risk the seals failling after putting in all that work, plus the fact that it isn't that big of a deal to rebuild it since it's out of the car anyways (hopefully). now i have done some research on porting, and i might be interested in doing a mild streetport, nothing to crazy since the point of the car is to just be a fun car with a little bit of power to drive somewhat daily and not only on the weekends here and there. i have 0 plans on taking this car to track. so my main question here is what could be some options as far as the carb goes, i was looking at weber carbs on racingbeat and they recommend only running a 48 ida on a streetported or bridgeported car, since it otherwise doesn't add much with stock ports. now my dad had this idea of installing injection, i haven't found that much information on a mild streetport/stock 12a with injection.

So quick summery, does anyone have experience with either weber or injection on a mild streetported 12a and if so what else would you recommend modifying with a setup like this (clutch, fuel setup, etz)

All information is welcome, since i'm not the most experienced with rotary engines yet

I'd recommend keeping the stock nikki, maybe hogging it out a little. do a search on "fat nikki" carbs. Maybe go to an 81/82 flywheel (7 lbs lighter) and an ignition upgrade. A RB header/ exhaust will also give you a significant power upgrade w/o any porting changes.
