mikuni confusion
ok guys i have a s4 six port with a mikuni 44phh on a plenum like manifold that i fab'd up in my yard, yea its not pretty
but anyway it starts but wont stay running any longer than like 5-10 seconds and i have no idea why. im only 18 and i have never had any experience with carbs on cars, let alone side drafts.
i wanted to know what are the two vaccume nipples on the bottom and the one on the top. the two on the bottom were plugged when i got it, should any be plugged? and would that have anything to do with i not staying running?

There's actually 4 nipples on the bottom. Two are for the oil feed lines from the Oil Metering Pump (1 on each barrel closest to the passanger sidewall.
The other two which are a little longer (1 on each barrel closest to the driver sidewall) are for coolant. I plugged mine.
The one on the top is a vacuum source. You can use it for the distributor advance if you're still using that or plug it. If it's not being used or plugged then yea it'll be a vacuum leak.

sweet pic and thanks for the help, im running premix so i capped off the omp lines. the car will stay running but only if its choked and i keep revving it. so, not enough fuel. im thinking a vaccume leak or something of that sort. any input would be great, thanks in advance.

Mine was doing the same thing. Only ran with the choke on...
The manual actually calls it a starter not a choke b/c *I think* it actually does the opposite of choking off the air and instead sucks in more gas...??? Don't hold me to that.
When I get home if noone chimes in by then I'll post the directions I used to get her idling w/out using the starter haha
Checkout www.WOLFCREEKRACING.com You can get the manual for about $10. I actually found them selling em' on e-bay. It was worth every penny / dollar.
