metering pump..need help pls
im fairly new to the rotary engines so i have no i dea what to do when the omp comes into play. i have a 83 gsl but the engine has been swapped before i got it and it appears to be out of a repu. as of now im trying to get it in to running condition and there is a metal rod coming from what looks to be the metering pump. i cant find where it goes... any thing will help at this point and pictures would be the best thing for me

I don't have any pics but that linkage should be hooked up to the throttle linkage.
The oil metering pump injects oil into the intake charge to lubricate the rotor seals as they have no access to the "normal" internal lubrication system.
The omp injects a metered amount of oil into the intake charge. Since it needs more during acceleration it is controlled by the throttle.
If you search OMP there is a ton of info here about them and different ways to deal with the engines' need for the lubrication, everything from premixing oil in the gastank to mods that draws 2 stroke oil from separate tanks.
