Talking messing with people

im just wondering if im the only one that does this for kicks or not... say at a car meet i always get questions or ricers talking to me, i get bored and i always, i mean always mess with them. for example: "so whatcha got done", ill reply well i have a 12a rotary, bored out, with after market rods, lifters, and cams." or ill bust out " i got a 3 angle valve job and some other heard work, its pretty quick, especially when i hit r-tec, equivalent to your VTEC" its fun to see what they say, i always get a real kick out of this....try it next time, you will too.

I would do that, but then it doesnt help the rotary problem at all. As it is to few people know and understand the rotary engine. What your doing may be fun, but it is not helping the position of the rotary engine in the minds of everyone. When people ask me stuff i come straightforward with them. Tell them it lacks low end, but once it gets going itl accelerate like no other vehicle ive driven. Why lie, if you do they will go tell their friends what you said, and then people will believe we actually need piston rings

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ! Both you guys kick *** !!! Where I come from, there's this city RIGHT next to mine (Gatineau for NE body local reading this). NE ways, they are ALL little Honda ******* ricers ... I got this guy at work he LOVES his honda ! lol .. He's got like a 95 civic. I always get a kick out of laughing at him lol .. NE ways, I asked him once.. What do you have under the hood ? he's like ahh k&N, bla bla bla paintjob ( as if this gives him speed ) ... I go to see his car he had those ugly lights on the windshield washer sprayers. NE hoo, I started talking rotary to him he didn't understand a thing. they are SOO funny out there ... They thing a honda 4 piston is unbeatable. So I raced him, kicked his *** ... Then he goes .. yeah but, what size engine you got under there ... I say 1.1L ... he's like .. you got a 3cyl. ?? lol ... Then I started with him .. Yeah ! 3 cyl man, but I think my head gasket is leaking a bit cuz it's burning oil ! .. then he's like, yeah I saw a couple of puffs comming out back when you were reving it high ( of course this is my OMP :P ) ... So I then of course said he was an idiot ricer ... Didn't wanna listen when I explained how a rotary works :'(

*hoping the arrival of RX-8s will open up people's eyes .. * I did get this new chick ( REALLY REALLY hot chick ! lol ) at work to wanna hop in for a ride with me GOOOO 7 GOOO !!!

When I told here how you can drift, but still keep control while flooring, 50/50 weight distribution, ( she knows a bit bout cars btw ), when you floor it it sounds crazy, u get stuck in the seat, etc etc , she was like .. holly crap I wanna ride ... which then pissed off the Honda guy !

you should get a piston and a rotor and when stupid people come up to you asking stuff pull them both out and show them what they have and what you have.

rotary > piston.

I love hearing when our 7's kicks those honda heads ***. Those ******** think their engine r unbeatable. Mazda should produce more rotories to open up poeple eyes and realize that rotories r the best.

rotary > piston.
That's actually pretty bright ! ... " The overall engine is smaller BUT ... Rotor > Piston ! SOOO ... If I had 4 rotors, like you have 4 pistons .. I would produce arround 700RWHP ... isn't that better then a 130 hp civic SI ?? :P "

I do that all the time. Actually just did it yesterday. A kid asked me what I had done, and he said it sounds like your motor is cammed. I was like well infact it is. It also have a valve job and pistons and all this crap. All my friends new my car and they kept quiet untill the kid walked away and they all lost it. I felt sorry for the kid after and invited him over to check out his first rotary. THen I got what is that white thing onto of that brass looking thing?... HAHA Kids these days... well I can't talk I'm only 18.

who cares if they know about the rotary or not, its fun...plus it makes our cars more mysterious and rare, always a good thing....if they talk trash, put them in there place, the rear view mirror. LOL

LMAO

This is too good. When I first show people my car, they see the engine and ask "Is that a 2 cyl??". I'm like hell no. I try to explain a rotary to them, and they are still thinking "WTF is a rotary" even after I explain it to them for half an hour. I think I will just stay with the 2 cyl theory that most people have said about my car. That way I can say "Yeah, my 2 cyl just smoked your 4 cyl". Just too good.

Still pretty funny to say that a 1.1L engine just kicked your VTECH ***.

I own a 1982 gsl 7 , soon to have a 13b turbo II in it, but I also own a 1991 honda civic and I have to say honda heads aren't all as stupid as you guys think. I know alot about the 12a in my 7 but I also know alot about my b16SIR2 in my civic. I respect both my cars and other imports as well now don't get me wrong there are many people out there who don't know anything about rx-7 and I have fun with them but I think you guys should respect some of us who own civics and rx-7's. Also whats with "ricers" I hate to tell ya but mazdas are also "ricers" the trem has to do with the fact the car is Japanese.

Yeah, thats true. Our cars are technically ricers also. We just don't think of them that way. As for the honda heads, I know they have some amazing technology in them. How the hell do you think they made the S2000 make 110hp per liter? That is currently the highest HP/L in a naturally aspirated engine. Honda has done their homework. The civics just don't have the power to justify what some people do to them.

Ya I agree on that I just thought there was alot on honda bashing. But I will say this out of the 2 cars I own I will always take the rx-7. It hands down is a better car. But for import shows its my civic. I guess thats why my daly driver will be my rx when I'm done.

Well, the RX is on borderline import when it comes to shows. Its a classic import, which is generally not seen at shows, yet when people hear or see RX-7 on your car they think import right away. Its kind of weird that way. I've heard my car called a rice burner at school when I tell them its a mazda, but I say the year, and they think differently of it.

When I refer to the term ricer, I'm talking more about the person, not the car ... Think about it ... little idiots who know **** about NE thing and think they're the coolest cuz they got a k&n and a 4 in muffler tip ... NE hoo, it's just funny to see people who's knowlege of engine doesn't surpass 4 cyl, or even funnier , those "redneck" v8 guys loll .. the one's who are missing 3-4 teeth in their mouth "eh? whatchu meen by weinkle ? u got yourself a 2 cyl ? " NE ways .. pretty funny
I think my next bit is gonna be : to make beleive I have a 4 cyl, but the pistons are laying down sideways and in the shape of a square ... what ? I DO have 4 spark plugs

Rice, as myself and several of my So-Cal racer friends define it, is putting stuff on a car for show. Which is why Honda drivers get most of the flak. A big aluminum spoiler, oversized exhaust tip on stock pipes, and altezza lights are the epitome of rice, and most of that stuff is found on Hondas. Mind, I don't hate on real Honda racers, the J-spec B series motors are incredible and I wouldn't tangle with a real R type for anything. I even use the term rice on domestics, like the Cavalier, Neon and Mustywangs so popular in Nor-Cal.

Ever notice that some people just don't understand a carburator? They're the best to mess with, when you tell them you don't have fuel injection their eyes bug out because they think you run alcohol.

2 things.....

There isn't anything called a B16SIR2 engine.

Also, the S2000 was 120hp per liter (2.0L / 240hp). The 2004 S2K is a 2.2 with 240hp, but more torque.

I could be wrong, but isn't the renesis engine 1.3 litres and pushing out 238 hp? doesn't that make it like 183 hp per liter...?
