Message For Cp Racing!

I'll start out by saying I'm a customer of your products and I love them. There's just one thing I want. Bad. Is there anyway you can make us a rear diffuser? Something like the RE Amemiya style made for 3rd gens? I would love to see what this would look like on a 1st gen.

I agree, while the car is probably fast it looks like a ricer drew it. Although if they could make a diffuser like that, only tucked up more and smaller so it doesn't stick out so much it might look kinda cool. I want the re amemiya front end, now that looks ******* sick

Yeah that's exactly what a want. Just a small center diffuser, minus the ugly crap. I had to use that pic cuz I couldn't find one that showed the diffuser I wanted.

What is the purpose of this diffuser? Is it to direct airflow? At what speeds would this diffuser be useful? Non-fuctional or functional bodywork?

I dont want to sound like an *** but i thought rice was all show no go??? Talk the talk but not walk the walk?? Now what i know from RE Amemiya is that all there products are built for a purpose. In the diffuser's case, it is to add downforce and stability by directing air under the car.

Ok, so its ricy to have something race on the car??? and not ricey to have something smaller that LOOKS better (not in my opinion) but by doing this you compromise the effect that it was originally designed for??? That is rice. Its just like those wings all the morons buy for their car. It's design was ripped off a race car, changed a little or mimicked so it would look better, and now it adds probably no downforce. It creates drag.

Seems like people dont know what rice means.

I'm pretty open to ideas, but i just can't see it. it floats across the top edge of the 3rd gens rear, where a 1st gens tail lights are lower almost on the bumper.
what is it about that your liking ? the round lenes inside the housing ? the way it goes all the way across the rear, you know thats a 3 piece part ? right and i don't know if you agree here , but a 1st gens rear is more square(ed) a 3rd gens rear is slippery, rounded corners kinda flows, koby-san did a great job designing, IMO

I thought a small squared diffuser might look nice on my widebody. Seeing that CP makes a widebody kit, maybe they could try and design something that would look decent. I wish someone could photoshop a diffuser onto one of our cars so we could all see.

i think the problem with our cars is that the rear is flat, count how many 90' angels
there are on a 1st gens rear, taillights, and even bumper. nothing is really rounded. it works on the 3rd gen because the taper in the center and where the taillights are located. remove the whole taillight deal or defussier and that would reveal just how much that thing is part of the rear, i can't see any other kind of taillight that would look cool on the 3rd gen. now i can see where your coming from,,really check it out. 1st gen, taillight-to-taillight remove the center 'finisher'
and the taillight covers, they all have those 3 channels through them and replace the covers and finisher with the same material, no channels. one contenues piece
my spelling sucks btw. the way the 1st gens rear taillights are, the way the 3 channels go all the way across tigh it all together. i think a 1st gens rear reflects
more then a 2ed gens to a 3rd gens taillight deal, all the way across.. go out and remove your center 'finisher' and in your minds eye, say what you see.. it's all about those 3 channels, remove those and thats what you want. smooth !! and tinted. am i way off and tripping ? or did i nail it ?

Why is it that people think it's a good idea to come to a public message board and call out a company, expecting them to answer. I still can't believe people page business owners on here. Here's a thought, why don't you go to their website and E-mail them....

Every week there's someone asking some company a questions, or wondering where their order is being shipped from. Aparently, RX7club is better than a phone or E-mail. And when the companies finally respond, what do they usually say? "Hey, just E-mail us and we'll talk more about it". I think it's time to take a hint.

If I went to their website and emailed them they would not know how other 7 owners feel about the idea. You can't just put a product out if nobody else is interested. I wanted you fellow first gen owners to post your thoughts so I could relay them to CP Racing. Then they can decide if it is a profitable idea. It just so turns out that they are designing a front and rear diffuser for our cars and they need our input on what design everyone thinks is affable.

I wasn't "paging" CP Racing. I put a thought out and I directed it to the company that I would want to make this sort of product. I don't know of any other companies that come to our message board and actually LISTEN to what we have to say. You have to understand...feedback is one of the most important things a company like CP can use. This is the most popular RX7 forum in the world, and this is the best place in the internet for a company like CP to get their feedback for the parts they make for RX7's.

Beautiful. Picture that, only designed to a first gen's style and proportions. Picture that on say, a widebody FB. Good luck CP and please let us know when the diffuser prototype is finished. I hope to be one of the first buyers!

Hey babycakes, I was rolling in RX-3's, and 7's while you were still in diapers I currently roll an nicely modded Cosmo with a single turbine FMIC and all the works, and am starting another project car, (going back to my roots with a 1st gen) I have wrenched, driven and owned several fc's and fd's in the past, so wake the F*(& up and realize that posting about your buddies fartcan, or ricer front spoiler and building a count that way doesnt mean ****.

and Like I said to the original poster, NOT YOU, I think that whole idea off putting a diffuser on an fb is fugly, what works on one car (looks wise) doesn't work on all hence the term ricer was made, for little high school and colledge brats, who think throwing **** from another car on theres makes it look cool or whatnot.
