Cool! Yeah, a pun

It is stale here. One of my favorite topics isn't discussed much. That leads me to believe that all is already known, unless a newbie comes along and asks another same old-same old question.

Hmm, I get to help a friend work on steering stuff in a day or two. He just got a new place on Saturday though so I'm not sure what his fixin' plans are now. The reason why I want to help him is because I did the exact same thing a couple years ago on mine.

So were you trying to reduce the amount of staleness here? As for me, I don't really have an opinion about the activity level here. As for other forums, yeah it would be cool if they had more activity, but I'm ok with the level here.

Anybody else?

Hey Jeff, I'm a newbie, and I'm thinking of spending a load of cash to get an MSD I don't need. Is there anything else I can do instead?

Haha just kidding

Seriously, where did everyone go???

There's been a lot of newbies showing up in the last few weeks.

As for me, I'll be getting a new exhaust in the next week or two and I'll be one step closer to getting ym car on the road.

I finally got internet access back at work, so I'll be hanging out more often

I also got my new motor in and running after about 1 1/2 months of being rotorless. Trying to break it in before this weekend, so I've been going on some boring slow drives The motor does seem to be running well, but the street-porting is a hell of a lot louder!!

I got a TII that's why I am not posting in here much anymore; I have to find a running 12a (READ NON SMOKING) to put in my 83. I need a beater, and what better car!

the car's been running good and I havn't had alot going on, just been basically getting ready to put her away for a much deserved winter nap, after which she'll be getting some serious cosmetic surgery (read: front, rear air dams, rear qtr pannel, front fender, and a repaint), and then another summer of fun

Other than that, been trying to coax my boinger powered winter beater back to life.
ugh.

I can vouch for the northern ppl who have to put their babies away for the winter and pull out the old piston P.O.S. At least mine is being stored in a heated garage so working on it all winter will be nice and warm.
It puts me in a somber mood knowing that I'll have to wait til next spring to see my baby on the street again.

Welp.... I'm still checking this board every day (well at least every work day hehe) My rex is still in the driveway... and the workbench is almost done (just need to cut peg board and put it up) but it's been taking me a while because I couldn't do the work bench alone so I had to wait for weekends where I could get a friend to help. Next I need to buy my air compressor and finish paying off my last bit of debt (except my truck and house) then after that I'm gonna start hitting junkyards and saving cash for my wide body kit (I want to buy everything in cash if I can, no more debt!). Then when I have the widebody on it will be time to order my engine *sigh* that will be the hard part... deciding what excatly I'm gonna do there.

*shrug* I knew it would be a long process and stuff.... so I'm just working on her.... (if my darn drums and recording equip would sell then I would be able to mass buy some stuff *shrug*) Maby my truck will sell too and I'll be able to buy a less expensive, better gas mileage vehicle for a daily which would make a world of difference too!

Been watching this section always. But have nothing to contribute. As I either don't have the cash to modify it or I've been here for a while I know the answer to my questions.

Here's a question for ya: what size are the injectors on a stock GSL-SE and where can I find the price and a set (in canada) for a decent price? or should I take them out and have the cleaned and blueprinted and shove them back in?

LOL !

Had thoughts the other day of just answering a question with, “you should have bought a Honda.” Just to stir the pot.

You guys have been way to helpful lately.

Just last week (thursday i think), I was drivin' along (well, flogging my car with those oh-so-sweet redline shifts), and as I let her have a little break and let it idle and coasted for a few minutes, i noticed she wasn't idling right. real low - like 400, almost dying. so i pull off the road into the nearest gas station and see what's up. thanks to you guys, i knew EXACTLY where to look: rats nest. one of my little electronically actuated valves (or whatever they are) had broken. I ended up getting a replacement from the local junkyard, and it seems to work alright now.

other than that, i just put in a new fuel filter. next time i'll be sure to have a golf tee handy.

i have a racing beat midpipe ready to throw on, but i don't have any jackstands, and my ramps don't give me enough clearance in the rear section.

i did have a nice lively race with a datsun 510 last weekend. well, not really a race. we were playing. found out my car tops out at about 118.
