mazdatrix gas tank question?

I emailed mazdatrix but with no reply back on this yet.

I was woundering if the gas tanks that they sell for the 84-85 are the ones with the cup as in the 13b style or not, and also if they include the fuel level sender unit in them or not.

If anyone knows the answer to this that would be great. Thanks

If my info is correct they have consolidated part #'s for the 84-85 now. But you might want to verify that with the dealership.

My dealership help jack all when it comes to older cars that are 20 plus years because they don't call in. I called another one with a few parts and they said everything I had listed was no longer available. But I think that they just made that up cause they're too lazy to look into it.

I'm just more interested in knowing if it has the fuel level sender unit included in it or not/

call into who? you're falsely assuming that we can call someone who would know anything.......

but yeah most of the stuff is still available, there are several typo's in the new parts catalog, so the part number doesnt work, but not because its not available, but because its not in the computer anymore.

anyways, the fa66 tank is the gsl-se

My educated guess, is that it does not come with the sender. Factory parts listing are set up to show an illustration of the assembly and all the attaching components. Making most of the components separete in most cases. Sometimes they will update a part as a unit but not often.

As far as doing your own homework. That's all you have to do dj55b is click on Trochoids link to the FSM and scroll down to the factory parts listings.

At the bottom there are the parts catalogs for our cars. Whatever Mazdatrix would or would not stock is how the dealership would carry it. They buy their stuff from the dealer on OEM stuff. OEM meaning Original Equipment Manufacture. And I know for a fact the senders do not come with the tank. Like I said before If I remember correctly they have consolidated parts #'s, meaning that they use the 13b tank for all.
