yeah, diesel in a gasoline engine isn't a bad thing, but gasoline in a diesel engine spells trouble.

You just can't get diesel to burn fast enough in a gasoline engine to run, so it just causes smoke.

That indeed is funny, wish I would have been there to laugh my *** off then comfort you to tell you its ok. Diesel fuel is oil not gas like your used to. When I went overseas I stored my car for 4 years, the guys at Mazdatrix told me to preserve it with deisel, I poored it right down the carb until full, then again and again, put about 5 gallons in her. I let her sit for 4 years, picked her up, changed plugs oil etc, fired right up. Its just oil, its ok! Wow, the look on your face would have been priceless! And its not that you cant get diesel burning fast enough, its gas engines dont have a high enough compression to ignite the oil- typically 23.1. Oh that would have been priceless...

Diesel burns hotter than gasoline, so it probably wasnt the best thing for the apex seals. Other than that if you didnt put a lot in, it should be fine after a good flush.

Nah man, just siphon some gas from that guys tank and use it to flush the diesel out, that'll teach him. And while your at it, you can siphon the rest out, to fill your tank with

A gas engine cant get the diesel to even burn at 50% efficiency! Not an issue, take her around the block and run the **** out of her, you may want to clean your plugs but you only ran a little through it, dont sweat it.

Take your plugs out and wipe them off

Turn the main pulley six or more full turns counter-clockwise (that's moving the top of the pulley towards the passenger side)

Reinstall your plugs, add some *real* gas down the carb and make sure there's sufficient gasoline in the tank, and give it a start!

That should purge what's left in the engine, but I'm thinking there's probably a little left in there, so you'll still get some smoke. Should be alright tho.

I agree about filling his tank with diesel... Or sugar.. sugar works well.

On a boinger the sugar dissolves in to the gas making a rather sweet mixture of petrol. When the mix travels to the cylinder passing the valves it gets in and coats the surrounding areas, its all good until you shut the car off and let it cool. The sugar (which has been heated) cools down and makes a sort of candy like coating on all items it has come in contact with ie, valves, rings, cylinder wall, pistons etc, not nice. Same with a rotary with the exception of the valves, it would coat all the apexes, side rings, you get the point. Basically you render the now candy coated engine inoperable. Not a nice thing to do to anyone.

Last time I checked though, it takes a massive amount of sugar to do it, and no, despite what I said I don't condone that kind of action on anybody, no matter how much of an *** they are.
