How many runs are you going to pull on the dyno? Are you going to run the stock intake and carb. and then the holley and RB to do a comparrison.

I have to compliment you on your car, it has to be one of the most kick *** 1st gens. around IMO, and cars like yours are what have persuaded me to go with an FB rather than another TII.

Keep us posted on your progress!

well, edelbrocks are good for n/a.... but it's suuuuuuch a ***** to boost prep them. holleys are easy altho, a properly prepped edelbrock would probably yield awesome results and most likely be the easiest to tune.

cds00bsmg: i'm just going to get 3 or 4 pulls in either 3rd or 4th gear to see what my power is. i do my tuning on the street with the wideband so if it runs good there, then i just need numbers from the rollers and that's it. as far as which setup i'll be running on there i dunno yet. i just got the holley back on today and will start tuning it tonite or tomorrow. if i can get it dialed in then i'll rock that, or probably just throw the nikki back on since she's always good to go. she's just reaaaaaally difficult to start with lately since it's getting pretty cold now and there's absolutely no cold start help on it anymore

Airlfow is airflow regardless of what pressure it is at.

Maybe if I post on this thread Sterling will come and argue. He loves to do that. Don't you, cuckoo case?

Anyways, the FB I used to have had a bigger-than-RB-template streetported 12A, a match ported manifold, and a Sterling carb. Oh! and an Power Pulse air filter assembly. I was never able to measure flow, or power for that matter, but the car certainly pulled hard. Up to 8000 rpm.

well when i look at my RB intake manifold.... it's maaassssive compared to the stock one. also, my very first intake setup w/ nikki was port matched. ran great.

and yes, airflow is airflow no matter what pressure.... but what about volume? especially with the intercooler on there and reaaaally cooling off that boost. we'll see, if the stock intake is enough then when i tune this holley setup i shouldnt really notice a difference up top. but i have a feeling that it's gonna fly to 8krpms alot faster. i'll let you know

getting colder in NC huh? Try coming up here to OH where its going to be like a high of 60 tomorrow, at least its going to be 77 or so there tomorrow...

Yea, I figured you did most of your tuning via wideband to get the setup right, I just wasnt sure if you were going to do a intake carb. comparrison, or what...

Im betting you pull some pretty decent HP numbers though, keep us posted!
