Which master cylinder to use?

I have a 85 drum rear car, and am swapping in SE front brakes and a GSL rear end. What master cylinder should I use? Should I stick with the stock master cylinder? I am looking for good firm brakes, as this is going to be primarily used for auto-x.

Thanks

wrxracer55, the 85 drum rearend has a 3/4 inch diameter master cyliner. The disc brake rearend has a 13/16 inch master cylinder. the numbers are in metric but given numbers are close. I don't have a clue wht the SE master cylinder is. I put the disc rearend in an 85 & changed the master cylinder to the 13/16 inch diameter.

I agree. Done several including my new GS and have no issues with braking.

I'll get the 13/16 one. I want the most power possible under braking. Thanks

I did some research,a nd the GSL-SE has a 7/8 cylinder, and the 12a has a 13/16. I'm going to get the 7/8, as I want as much power as possible.

Smaller diameter = more braking power.

My bad. Thanks. I'll stick with the 12a one.
