The stereo bracket with gauge holes doesn't come with gauges - you install your own.

Because the cupholder design takes up a bit of space the gauge model will not include cupholders - the older design allowed for them using softer materials as a solution but the new more rugged version does not permit this.

what size gauge will work, do they need to be a certain brand, do you include instructions for mounting the gauges sorry to ask so many questions, but I will have the money at the end of the month and want to make sure I have all of the proper tools to make it work

The gauge holes are standard size and should work with most aftermarket gauges.

No pics of a 'prototype' as I make up a schematic and submit it to the metal cutters. Either I have finished ones or I have paper.

I only have 50 or so units made at a time and they're used to dealing with orders for 1000s of an identical part, so my order takes a little longer to find its way into the machinery.

Soon as they quit pushing the work to the back of the list, and about $50 USD.

hey manntis, I have a cut out from my universal cd player holder and it looks ok, but I want something I can add gauges to. Check it out gauge on second page I was wondering if my cd player would work with your set up. It's a pretty big gauge soo. Just wondering.

Looks like your stereo and gauge are both standard size, so I forsee no problems.

One caveat: The stereo cutout is trimmed to fit a detachable or drop-down face stereo only. It is 6.75" wide, not the full 7" width of most fixed-face stereos.

it's not a fixed face its a swivel or drop down style I guess as you would say, but it's a tight fit.

yeah my Sony had a drop-down face too and it fit fine on the Mark I model... the opening for the Mark II is the same size. The key is my kit is designed to eliminate the trim ring around the stereo face.

well would you be able to use it if you wanted to? I have a glow coming from the top and bottom of the trim. It wouldn't look right without the trim.

the smaller opening on the Mark I and II design take the place of the trim - it doesn't just leave a gaping hole around the faceplate but instead makes it look more integrated with the whole unit.
