Making some progress on the Turbo 1st gen updates.

had some minor problems arise while driving my turbo 1st gen for 3 years. and I am making some minor progress now on the 3rd update of my fb.

First the suspension is a mess, so ive got a complete SE manual sub-frame assembly from a 85 parts car I had a while back. It was a greasy pile of crap, but all the tie rods were Moog replacements, and the box was in good shape. I got that torn down at work. All parts are getting black powder-coat with gold zinc plating on threaded and adjustment parts

Second, got the new V-mount setup mocked up in place so I can fix in some permanent mounts. I'm liking the angles and things are fitting together well so far. I'm also working on some basic plumbing changes, mainly the dual remote oil filters.

Its winter here now in Minnesota, and far to cold to work on it, but Ill be stocking up on parts here soon, and pulling the motor first thing in the spring.

the remote filters are not hooked up yet. the one on the engine will get replaced with a remote adapter with two 8an fittings, that will run over to the dual filter block.

just ordered a painless 12channel wiring harness and various related electrical stuff to go with it. I need to order some fuel and oil fittings, as well as stuff to build the new intercooler piping, which is going to be all stainless. My whole theme im trying to go with on this new build is matte black and stainless steel (or brushed aluminum in some cases).
