What would you do?

I have an 83 gs-le. Currently has a 4 port repu motor and dual webber carbs. Motor might be toast, I have not had time to get into it yet. I have been out of the loop for a while, what would be my best option here if the motor is gone?
Rebuild and do a big port?
start with another motor and port?
build a 3 rotor NA?
I want to keep it simple. Not really wanting to go turbo, possibly fuel injected though. I already have a good carb set up, but if I go more radical than a street port, Ill probably need a different intake manifold or an adapter anyway right? Im just looking for suggetstions for the best bang for buck on getting it back on the road. I will have about 3-4000 to spend on motor stuff. I dont even know how much any of it will cost anymore. Should I just look for a good motor/carb combo that is alread running and swap it in? All you seasoned rotary guys give me your input and suggestions please. Hoping to purchase what ever I need over the winter and hopefully get this beast back on the road next summer. Thanks

since its a 4port 13b I'd open it up and see if its salvagable. If it isn't you could always find a running 13b and drop it in. www.atkinsrotary.com they have awesome pricing on rebuild kits and you could just buy what you need.
