LSD/Disc Brake compatability among Mazdas

Will a disc rear end from, say a 929 or any other Mazda fit in the FB? Just curious. Thanks.

is a 929 rear wheel drive?
chances are it wouldnt fit though,
a mazda rx7 rear end is setup for handling and racing,
mainly the mounting system,
on the other hand a 929 is all out luxory
so chances are it would be mounted diferently

Just keep searching, you'll find a GSL rear. They aren't *that* rare.

newer ones were, they changed into the millinia when mazda stoped using numbers and started using names

and then they kept selling the 929 alongside the millenia for a while

http://members.aol.com/solomiata lots of stuff interchanges between the Miata and the 1st-gen. The Miata is rather like a boinger 1st-gen with wishbone suspension and a drop-top. But the site also has a wealth of other Mazda drivetrain history and swap info, beyond Miatas.

Mazda still uses numbers over here ... well except for Xesdos6 ... which I THINK is a Millinia ... they came with an option of a Miller cycle engine ?

Some of the brake parts are interchangeable between 1st Gens and the early RWD 626's ... I doubt the axles are the same though

yeah, the miller cycle engine was an option in the millenia over here too... kinda cool actually.... but they never told anyone in ads or anything, only on their site...

Yeah. They're not rare at all. It's just so freakin' hard to find one that's close to me for a good price.
