Lowering my car

What's the best method to lower my car? I'm thinking coilsovers but I can't find any for the first gen. Also I've been looking around on here about coilsovers and I've seen that they only have rear but I'm kind or confused on what to buy for the front. Also what shocks are nice?

If you actually need them, get new shocks/struts. When installing them cut 3/4 coil off the front springs, 1/2 coil in the rear.
I think you should wait a while before doing any big mods to the car. But that's me.

could you give me some links to where to buy them? I'm too paranoid and I don't think I'm buying the right thing.

For springs, google racing beats website. Like mentioned, most people end up cutting a bit off these springs because they don't offer much "drop".

For coilovers, google Techno Toy Tuning. They are the new company producing a full coilover suspension for the fb/SA rx7. They're not cheap but will be worth it.

You'll want better shocks regardless of which route you go. If you can still find them, I'd say get tokico illuminas, as they have 5 levels of stiffness that can be switched between with the click of a screwdriver.

Bear in mind that lowering the car much more than 2" will have an adverse effect on the suspension geometry.
