Louvre 4 rear window

I'm looking for a louvre for the hatch window on my '81 GSL, anybody have one? It's like a grill that goes over the window to protect the vinyl from the sun.

The metal 2 piece one from JcWhitney is junk and rattles. I'd reccomend plastic ones - they don't metal rattle and are lighter. I liked them on my 81, kept it more private back there

So you're going to put gigantic uncloseable plastic miniblinds on your rear hatch to block out the sun...just get it tinted, actually you should get it mirror tinted, nothing more fun than blinding the person behind you so they rearend you.

Put um on

Put the louvers on if you like them I think they add a classy touch to a late seventies car. They are as classic as the car is and come from the same era. They are not rice, by the way rice can come in any type of auto take a vw beetle for instance that’s German rice that closet door handle on the hood is the same one I had on my old kitchen cabinets that’s rice!

Rice is something exteranious, added for precieved hot looks and basically non functional. like louvers. The VW hood handle was issued by the manufacturer. for that car.

My carpet still looks new

The louvers do serve a purpose. They are intended for use on the hatch glass or rear window to keep the temperature down and to keep the sun out so your carpet does not fade from the sun. You may not like them but they serve a purpose Just like the kitchen cabinet handle a bug. Rims are after market are all rims rice too? They do serve a purpose they go round.

Heh heh. Yay, someone besides me reviving really old posts!

It was so old I had forgotten about it. Then I saw my car. I was like, hey, who's making fun of my poor car now?!

Then I realized that I posted the pic
