Ha, I found a nice SE in Pick-A-Part last summer, among other things I scarfed was a complete plastic rear window louver in excellent shape. I was billed $5 for window trim. On my, uh um, now my 16 year old sons black 85 GSL-SE it looks very good. Everyone who saw the $5 upgrade was pleased with the new look. The shelfs of the louver blend right into the factory spoiler. Ricers don't run louvers anyways, it's too old school for them. On some cars it's great. I see many posts on here with sevens all stickered up and nobody screams RICE!
Here's to old post controversy! LOL

I've had louvers on mine for over 20 years...mine are aluminum. I think they look good, AND perform a couple of great functions. They keep the sun off the carpet and vinyl, which keeps them nice longer. And they keep the inside temperature down significantly (this is really important when you don't have a/c). I was amazed just how much they keep the temp down when I had them off to repaint them a couple of years ago.

If you read up on the Superbird, & you find the spoiler was quite functional. Can you say that about spoilers on ricemobiles? BTW, Superbirds can go for over $250,000.00 today.
My louvers do wonders to keep down the heat in hot Georgia summer sun on my black interior AND hide my really nice bikes inside.

What I would give to have a superbird... *sigh*. I was/am a muscle car guy myself before the rx-7. I'm still somewhat of a muscle car guy, but I don't think I would have the energy/talent to restore one.

Hey, I'm the guy painting his car a Mustang color
No WAY I'm a muscle head
As for superbirds, yeah, they are one of the more expensive musclies for sure. I'm a GTO guy myself, though.
