Question Loss of power

I have a 84 2s and after driving on the open road for approx 100 miles the engine acts like it wants to die, it will decellerate then die, unless, (here is where it gets weird) if you turn left or right it will pick back up till you drive straight again...
what kind of weird crap is that?!!

Sticky floats not allowing your float bowls to fill with gas? Beats me

Check your fuel filter. Even if it's not the problem, they're cheap -- always check the cheap stuff first

In the tank cleaner might be a good place to start. Some are better than others, but I don't remember any names, sorry. Otherwise, I think you can take off the sight windows and spray a bunch of cleaner in there, move the floats up and down, etc. Good luck with it.

does it seem to do it with a full tank of gas or all the time? having to turn would say to me fuel pick up or something of the sort. floats wouldn't really make sense to me. does it start hard after stalling or what? like everyone else says add the in tank cleaner, it won't hurt anything only maybe prevent/fix future headaches.

Otherwise, I think you can take off the sight windows and spray a bunch of cleaner in there======I dont see sight windows on my carb...where are they??

does it seem to do it with a full tank of gas or all the time===usually after 100 miles of driving..

does it start hard after stalling or what?=====no, you can start & it will idle all day...gets up to 30 mph & cuts out unless you turn....

If its a stock Nikki carb, there should be two sight windows for the floats. One in the front and one in the back. I believe they each have two philips screws holding them in. Good luck!
