Looking for Info: Sub Box

Hey Guys,

Since the search function appears to be forked today, I was wondering if anyone had saved a link to the thread where that guy was making the subwoofer boxes that go between the rear of the hatch area and the taillights. I remember that he stopped development on them because of some personal problems, but I know the thread had some great pictures that I thought someone else might be able to use to continue where he left off.

Anyone got the link?

God, I hate posting looking for a thread I know I could find if the search was working...

Jon

Thats not the one hes looking for. The search button only seems to be pulling up answers from 02! I think the guy is $1000t or something like that. Hes out of RI. He started the box and it took him like 9 months and he still did not finish them.

Yep, that was me... I still have the rough forms here at my house, but my goal of two 10's just never came to fruition, at least not with maintaining the stock look. My ideal was to keep it looking completely hidden, but the space in that area is just so damn hard to work with.

but it behind the seats ( you can completely remove the storage bins and build a custom box there). the guy that owned my car before me had 1 sub behind each seat.

I think with 8"s your ideas would have worked much better. I plan on giving it a shot in 2 weeks when I'll be fiberglassing a 400 gallon aquarium and will have extra supplies. Your research will not be wasted....

I put subs in the bin spaces in my 1st 7 when I was 17. It looked like *** so I tore them out. Of course that was with 17 year old skills and patience so Im sure it could have looked better.

Once I get my new workshop done, I'll be going back into the lab to experiment. It's tough around here with the shitty weather and not having a good place to work.

PLEASE make them!?
Someone?
I was really hoping for those boxes.
And for the record $100T2 my offer to make the website still stands if you still make the boxes. Two 8's in these cars would be plenty.

Yeah, I'm planning to put a pair of 8"s in my car and wanted to find your thread so I could tell a local guy "here, do this and make it work".

Though if there's a chance you'll go back into making them at some point, I can always hold off on the subs. I'm more for supporting fellow forum members whenever I can than getting subs asap.

I cut the rear off a car a few years ago to use as a mold for building some, But they never got done, I now own my own Audio shop and hope to get my guy started on the first set in the next month.

that was my old setup back maybe 5 years ago b4 the racing seats... That was one 12 inch flush with the trunk floor.

Looked and sounded great. Amps where hidden under there aswell.... Since then I have removed all the stereo equiptment and never looked back. I have a C/F plate where the radio used to be and a new piece of carpet over the box

Pics of my set up from a few years ago:

I've also done a 8" set up for the storage bin. It is made of 1/2" mdf and slide right into the cut out for the storage bin. My friend Sean in NJ has it (82transam). Maybe he will post pics.
