Take it from someone who has been looking for it for years, they are very hard to find. It is the Mariah Hatch, and between all the RX-7 boards and E-bay, you see about 3 or 4 of these go up for sale a year. I just got mine finally last week and paid $350 plus shipping. I jumped all over that cheap of a Mariah hatch. And shipping is not cheap either. Good luck with the hunt.

just some info to **** people off, a doctor had a first gen here that had a list of mods. he parked it ou tin the woods after he bought his corvette. his son(my age) decided two years ago to bring the car back to life. well long story short, there was a good condition mariah hatch on the car and the dumbasses THREW IT AWAY. i tried tons and tons of times to try to find out where he took it so i could go get it but hes a jackass. im not really into the style but i knew someone one here would have loved to have it. since then me and my neighbor bought the car together and the next day my neighbor rolled it and its been parted out.

The hatch IS still available, and it seems the "first gen" product section on the Mariah site was upated in Feb '06... I just checked the "LATEST NEWS" link.

There was a post here last year by someone who had contacted Mariah and was told they had 1 hatch left and it was no longer being produced.

If the original poster wants one badly enough, he now knows who makes/made them and it will be his lead to follow up on it.

Don't doubt this, cause sometimes pieces, like the safety-glass in the hatch, are discontinued, and the major part goes out of production, until a new supplier or source is found. I'm not saying that this is/was the case with the Mariah hatch a year ago... just spouting a little of my aftermarket knowledge.

Cheers,

Spouting can be a good thing with inside connections. Often clears up rumors and heresay.

Well thanks for all info. I am going to be doing the whole mariah pack then cause I just love the look of that body and it is funny to hear how many people mistak it for a porsche with that kit on it.
