I agree with 83RX-7, the 83 GS-LE only came in Chateau Silver Metallic paint. At least that is what the Mazda sales catalog said! It had red pinstripes and a red cloth interior.
The LE really was top of the range; sunroof, air-conditioning, cruise control, luxury hi-fi system and 14" 5.5J alloy wheels. The cost was $12,595 which was great value when you looked at the cost of optioning up a GS. For some a disadvantage was it only came in manual.
The photo by Hades12 shows what the LE looks like. The multi-spoke wheels were unique to the model. There is a full review in the June 83 'Motor Trend'
