I believe the 79 and 83 models were the only years that they made Limited Editions. How much do you want for them?

the rims are what made the 83 special. A guy stoped me once to ask me about the cars because he used to sell them he said i knew it was an 83 because of those rims man.

The LE wheels are 14" BBS-type spoke wheels. I still can't figure out what they were doing with rear drums, though. You'd think they'd throw an LSD in there or a turbo or something.

A turbo on my LE would be buckwildly awesome! but ill have to make do. Got to worry about the rust in the bins first. One step at a time.

3000 79s where dolled up and called "Limited"s - and the 3/4" x 2" B-pillar badge sez just that: "Limited". Don't know how many 83 "Limited Editions" there were, but I think that badge actually sez "Limited Edition" and is quite a bit bigger. There was also a "Leather Sport" edition in 1980, the badges saying "LS". All these were on the B-pillars-

I have a set of the Limited Edition badges. I also have a set of GSL badges (were located at same location of LE badge) I would be willing to sell. The black is faded on both sets, but the chrome part is good.

hey hades, is that 79 a car that you own now? i bought what was supposed to be an 83 LE off of ebay and the car's problem areas are the same as those in your pic. the car i bought has a black paintjob w/red pinstripe.....it was a do-it-yourself job because the paint's bubbling from the rust underneath it. and the original champagne paint on the latching end of the doors and under the hood, several other places.....I TOOK A BEATING ON THIS ONE!!!

Yea both cars are currently owned by me and my wife. 83 was bought from a Forum member back in November, the 79 I picked up about 3 weeks ago. It was a one owner car.

The 83LE only came in Chateau Silver, like the two pictured in this thread.

You sure? I've seen two mint-green LE's just here in town. Didn't look like repaints (guess how I know...).

Yeah, thanks a lot **********. For some reason the term, "I've forgotten more than you'll ever know" seems to apply especially well here. Maybe you need to update your MLA and learn some spelling and grammar rules before you go swinging your tiny e-dick around. Or, pull it out of your boyfriends ***, not sure which is more prudent.

All I see is an unsupported statement that it came in Chateau Silver, is there more than one page with that info? Seems like more reason to start an LE registry to me!

Look all I was trying to do was to give you some info. I said to read the rx7 history because that is how I found out about it, I was not trying to insult you or anything like that. Is people like you that jump the gun and start talking bull that give a bad reputation to chat rooms and forums like this one. Have a good night.
