Hello everyone,
The last time all of my lights went out it was due to the bad alternator, which blew out all of my bulbs, lol. All was well for a long time, now I don't have lights again. I do not have any dash lights, hvac lights, ash tray, head lights, parking/clearance lights. My headlights do go up with combo switch but do not turn on. I can get the lights to turn on if I pull the headlight stalk inward however. I removed the connector going to combo switch and noticed that I do not have any power
(see pic). I have power at all fusible links and at fuse. I welcome your thoughts.
did you check all the blade fuses under the dash? Once I lost my parking lights, and signal lights. I traced circuits. Checked everything out with a continuity probe. Answer to the mystery was a blade fuse was corroded on the inside. The fuse looked OK except for a small black spot inside. Usually it is super obvious when a fuse blows.
Another time, the 3 fuses in the engine compartment just needed to be re positioned (jiggled a little).

Ordered a new headlight combo switch. My guess is that the one I have probably needs a good cleaning, etc. But since the lettering on the headlight switch/turn signal stalk was a slightly worn, I just went ahead and bought a new one. Plus I don't have the time right now to tinker with the old one to get it back to spec. So, I'll probably have the old combo switch on the New Marketplace forum soon if anyone needs one. Pretty sure the new combo switch is going to solve my dilemma.
Thanks for the replies.
Mike
