LF: Rack & pinion Instructions

Hey guys, as the title says I got myself an old CP Racing rack & pinion kit (the rear mount rack style).

Anyone have the instructions laying around or know who to contact? I need the specs on where to cut the column, the rest I can do.

And before someone says it, I know these had an issue with the steering shaft binding due to excessive U-join angle. The current plan is to either use a double u-joint on one end or make a 2 piece shaft with 3 joints. Hell, I'll put a mitre box in if I have to.

Man I'm curious to see if anyone still has the instructions! I have the RE-Speed R&P installation instructions on my PC at home if you'd want those for comparison, just not sure if they'd be super helpful. Sounds like you're primarily looking to cut the column, and I don't remember if the RE-Speed instructions have that information for their kit or not.

Best of luck with the search!

You should post that up to foxed.ca for the RE-Speed kit. Someone will want to see em. Also if we find the CP Racing documents, they would be useful up there as well.

I believe I might have them all as well. If I remember correctly, when it was announced that they were going out of business I think I went in and downloaded all of their product manuals for safe keeping. I would have to dig through some old folders to make sure of that though.

I would agree with t_g on the point of getting the documentation up on Foxed.ca though! That is a great idea and would help the community out a ton in my opinion. Would be cool to start seeing some other literature end up on there too, like the old CP Racing documents and maybe some of the P&J info too.
