Lexan Windshield

Anyone know where i can get a Lexan Windshield??? I cant find one anywhere. THanks!!!

22 pounds for a lexan windshield???
that sounds wicked heavy
way more so than the one in my CRX

22lbs is stock, the lexan windshield and mount kit weigh 14lbs.

well you can use plastic wrap if you like. 14 lbs aint a ton. You still need a little something there to stop the rocks from hitting you. I believe it said 1/4 inch, too.

CRX has a relatively flat, upright windshield. A 1st gen RX-7 has a compound curve windshield with far more surface area.

Is that the Only place?? cuz ive seen lexan windshields for other cars for a lot less.

That is actually a really good price. Why do you think you need a lexan windshield anyway? Unless you are already very competitive in EP or a higher mod class the money can be much better spent.

Well I NEED a new windshield, now weather it is glass or lexan doesnt really matter to me but for some reason i have the idea that lexan is cheaper then glass and plus would be better for racing......which will be its soul purpose.
Now my question is which is cheaper glass or lexan? Also how hard would it be to extract glass from another car and install it on to mine?

Dude.. you could probably get an rx7 windshield installed for like $100 just call a auto glass shop and ask them. And don't bother yourself trying to take glass from another car. I know people with over 20 years experience in auto glass and about 50% of the time they break the glass.. So i doubt you would be able to do it without breaking it...
